The original entrance was very basic—standard brick steps leading straight to the front door, with no real connection to the driveway and no landscaping to help frame the approach. It was functional, but it did not add much to the overall look of the home.
We started by rebuilding the front steps with a wider, curved design that gives the entrance a more defined and welcoming appearance. That change alone made a noticeable difference in how the front of the house feels. From there, we installed a paver walkway that runs alongside the home and connects directly to the driveway, creating a clear and natural path from the parking area to the front door.
Once the hardscape was in place, we added custom iron railings to the steps. The detailing works well with the brick and helps complete the entrance without making it feel too busy.
To finish the project, we added landscaping along both sides of the walkway with a mix of trees, shrubs, and flowering plants, then topped it off with fresh natural mulch. The layout gives the walkway a clean, finished look now, while allowing the plants room to mature and fill in over time.
This type of front entry improvement is something we do often in McDonald, TN and the surrounding areas. When a home already has strong materials and good structure, the right hardscape and landscaping can make everything feel more connected and complete.
